Interactive Robotic Media Platform

This project marked a shift from functional to experiential robotics. We relocated to Shanghai and Shenzhen for three months, where an intensive industrial design process explored how movement, expression, and touch could shape a new generation of interaction-driven robots, creating a human-centered platform that naturally connects people with autonomous technology.

This project marked a shift from functional to experiential robotics. We relocated to Shanghai and Shenzhen for three months, where an intensive industrial design process explored how movement, expression, and touch could shape a new generation of interaction-driven robots, creating a human-centered platform that naturally connects people with autonomous technology.

Working alongside engineering teams, suppliers, and manufacturing partners, we developed the product directly on the Unitree and Deep Robotics platforms, collaborating closely from concept through prototyping and manufacturing. By working directly with hardware providers and visiting production facilities, we rapidly iterated on form, architecture, interaction, and integration while balancing technical constraints with user experience. Our objective was to move beyond traditional delivery robotics and create a new category of interactive robots—combining autonomous mobility, expressive behavior, and immersive digital media into a platform designed to engage people as naturally as it performs.

Working alongside engineering teams, suppliers, and manufacturing partners, we developed the product directly on the Unitree and Deep Robotics platforms, collaborating closely from concept through prototyping and manufacturing. Touch Creates Connection

One of the project's most distinctive innovations was the development of a natural interaction system that responds to human touch.

By integrating a head-touch sensor with an expressive tail mechanism, the robot creates an intuitive, pet-like response that encourages people to interact rather than simply observe. We also designed an advanced dual HD display system that transforms the robot into a dynamic communication platform capable of delivering context-aware content through real-time sensing and environmental awareness.
