Rolo reimagines the relationship between personal transportation, wellness, and urban infrastructure. Designed as an intelligent companion for dense city environments, it combines autonomous navigation with an integrated treadmill, transforming travel time into an active experience without compromising convenience.

Designed as an intelligent companion for dense city environments, it combines autonomous navigation with an integrated treadmill, transforming travel time into an active experience without compromising convenience.
Engineered for intelligent last-mile transportation. Powered by a multi-sensor perception system—including cameras, Intel RealSense depth sensing, and proximity sensors—it autonomously navigates urban environments to reach users on demand. A high-capacity battery, integrated solar cells, and dual-purpose drive and treadmill motors maximize efficiency while supporting both autonomous travel and active commuting.

ROLO integrates with smart docking stations that manage autonomous charging, maintenance, diagnostics, software updates, and fleet distribution across the city.

Instead of owning the vehicle, users simply summon the nearest available unit through a mobile app, where the scooter autonomously travels to their location. By operating as a shared robotic fleet rather than a personal vehicle, ROLO maximizes utilization, reduces urban congestion, lowers infrastructure costs, and provides an efficient, scalable, and human-centered solution for last-mile transportation.

Whether it's a child traveling safely across a campus, a professional commuting home without relying on a ride-hailing service, or an older adult seeking greater confidence while staying active, ROLO adapts to different users and lifestyles through a shared mobility experience.

Rather than replacing walking, ROLO enhances it. The integrated treadmill allows users to move naturally while the vehicle assists with propulsion, increasing travel speed without sacrificing comfort or safety. Throughout every trip, the system records activity metrics such as distance, pace, and walking performance, encouraging healthier daily mobility while making last-mile transportation more efficient, inclusive, and secure.

ROLO became the foundation for a broader vision of autonomous personal mobility. What began as a conceptual exploration evolved into Rolotich and later Milebook.

The focus shifted from imagining the future to engineering a viable product and business. Together with engineers and strategic partners, we explored new technologies, validated technical feasibility, and pursued funding to transform the concept into a real-world mobility solution. Beyond its technical ambition, ROLO attracted significant media attention and was recognized as an innovative approach to redefining last-mile transportation, laying the groundwork for the projects that followed.
The focus shifted from imagining the future to engineering a viable product and business. Together with engineers and strategic partners, we explored new technologies, validated technical feasibility, and pursued funding to transform the concept into a real-world mobility solution.
